I love the analogy. It is so easy to push something along thinking to ease its journey. Often the frustration of watching others struggle is more frustrating than the struggle itself. As a parents and teachers we are too often tempted to give more help than should be required thus causing the child to lose out on an important part of their development. Learning to cope with frustration is part of the journey not to be missed by offering an easier route.
