Mindfulness is a non-judgmental awareness of all that is happening inside us and around us. It takes us back to the foundation of happiness, which is being present in the here and now. Mindfulness is about always trying to be mindful about something: our breath, our thoughts, our footsteps, and our actions. Mindfulness requires us to bring all our attention to whatever we’re doing, whether walking, opening a door, eating, or brushing our teeth. When we concentrate on our breath and each step we take, we can see the beauty of the Earth all around us more clearly. We then take each step, and each breath with awareness and gratitude.
