Feel the spiritual value of the Nature around you. Feel the sacredness of the wild that is in your bones, and in places that we must protect for their own sake. As you walk in Nature do you take notice of the physicality of things, knowing that all physical things also have their spiritual dimension? Do you touch the world as you pass by, appreciating its solidity and presence?
The lichen clinging to the tree branches – don’t walk by too quickly. Gently touch the lichen and feel its texture, feel its roughness – is it soft or coarse? Experience for a moment the patterns and symmetry.
Stroke the bark on the tree and recognise it as another living being. Run your hand over the downy covering of seeds on the dandelion clock and watch the seeds float into the air. Gently touch the petals of a daisy and feel their softness.
