I absolutely loved today's Wild Art Wednesday! Thanks to everyone who came along. The idea behind Wild Art Wednesday is to get people thinking creatively while out in nature. Remember: You can't use up creativity. The more you use the more you have!
So what is creativity? Creativity is defined as, “the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination” (From my 2015 dictionary).
Art is one of many ways for humans to express their new ideas and ways to see visually things in new perspectives, and nature is known to “improve awareness, reasoning, observation skills, creativity, concentration, and imagination” (K Dowdell).
Tomorrow the human race will be different from what it is today. We are changing and it is the mind that is changing our bodies and our world. The active imagination process is a way of ‘tripping’ without drugs. Thinking in new ways releases chemical molecules that reprogram the brain. Thinking new thoughts, therefore creates a new brain, that sends us tripping in a way that is absolutely fail-safe.
Creativity is the power to create something new, to reach deep into our subconscious for that “aha” moment!
The next Wild Art Wednesday is in September - look at the meetup link on the right if you'd like more information.
